Aylin Örs
Born in Istanbul, Turkey, Aylin Örs has graduated from Koç High School in Istanbul and studied Interior Architecture and Environmental Design in Bilkent University from where she graduated in 2000.
During the university years, she has done her internships with several well-known architects such as Haluk Velidedeoğlu from Havel Architecture, Ahmet Kaleli Furniture and she took part in an urban design Project in Istanbul Bilgi University with Nevzat Sayın, İhsan Bilgin and Han Tümertekin.
After her graduation from the university, she has worked with Gökhan Avcıoğlu from GAD Architecture and Z Architecture where she took part in residential projects.
Around 2002 she began specializing in yacht design with İstemi Turanlıgil from Elegan Group.
In this company; Aylin Örs has worked on numerous yacht projects; and been involved in the interior and exterior design, preparing the shop drawings, selecting and purchasing the decorative materials and accessories, controlling and supervising the production process and doing the project management of the yacht interiors.
Giant Yacht series and Happy Dolphin II, Mumu built by RBDereli Yachts, and several other projects ranging from 15 m to 45 m has enabled her to gain vast experience in the yacht design sector during these years.
In 2004 she has worked for Proteksan-Turquoise Yachts where she was in charge of the control and the consultancy of the interior fittings of a 54m motoryacht, Talisman C I.
After moving to Bodrum in 2005, she has worked in Aegean Yacht Shipyard for two years, where she found the opportunity of working with sail boats as well as motor yachts who were built not only in steel but also in wood.
In 2007, she has founded her own company Ors Yacht Design working on different yacht projects in Bodrum, Antalya and in Istanbul. She also has been a visiting lecturer in Maltepe University in the Yacht Design Department and in Yeditepe University in Interior Architecture Department between 2014-2016.
In 2016 she has given a short break-off to her intensive work schedule to extend her knowledge and observations about the yacht design sector in Italy; to be more in cooperation with other countries; and she has attended the Master's Degree in Yacht Design in Politecnico di Milano.
After returning to Istanbul, she has started to her project classes of Yacht Interior Design in Maltepe University Yacht Design Department. As well as that the company Ors Yacht Design is still working on designing and supervising the construction process of motoryachts and sail boats of varying sizes with a dynamic in-house team of designers, based in Istanbul.
